Or “Why you haven’t seen content from me for the last few days”.

My Letter of Love

Dear Friends,

I was trying to be helpful, I promise! I was trying to see how I could improve your user experience on the site by pushing the site to download faster and making your browsing more secure.

I care about you!

And I’ve had over 1400 attacks on the site in the past few weeks. You Need Life Skills isn’t even a month old! Why?!

The reason I decided that securing the site was super important.

So, I pressed a button. A very fancy, give you all the benefits and none of the problems, difficult to undo button. And well, that button broke many of the things that make this site functional to send out content to you.

This letter comes to you after 3 full days of trying to sort this out, repeated conversations with tech support, and the tireless work of the IT Department (my baby brother).

It still isn’t finished. But I’ve been writing for you! You know I adore our conversations and I don’t want to miss anything. So, I’ve taken the time to write and type my little fingers off for you. Because if you are here, the struggle to be the best human you can be is one you relate to.

Despite the mistakes.

Despite the setbacks.

I’m not going to apologise for trying to make this place as safe for you and your browser as I can. But I really do miss you, the interaction, the comments, and the messages you send me. Every one of you who reads this makes me so so happy. I am privileged that you’ve taken the time to get to know me!

So, in the meantime, here’s what you can do. Email me. Tweet me. Instagram me. Add me on Pinterest. Subscribe below. Let me know what you are dealing with and how I can help. Let me know how I can be a resource and a friend to you.

Because sometimes in life, things fall apart.
